Effective
Men's Energy & Libido Tracker ("the app", shown on your Home Screen as "Men's Energy") is made by Dmytro Doroshchuk. This policy explains what the app does with your information. In short: your data stays on your iPhone. We don't collect it, see it, sell it or share it.
In short
- There is no account and no sign-in.
- We run no server that receives your data. The app never uploads your check-ins, notes or Health data, and never stores them in iCloud.
- The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code, and Health data is never used for advertising.
- Apart from purchases, which Apple's App Store handles, the app's only network traffic is downloading its published articles from Apple's CloudKit public database. That traffic goes from Apple to your iPhone; the app sends nothing about you back.
What the app stores, and where
Everything below is stored only on your iPhone. It stays there until you delete it with Delete All Data or delete the app.
- Your check-ins. Your daily ratings of energy, mood, libido and focus (1–5), for each day you check in, including a missed day you fill in up to three days back.
- Your tags. The tags you mark on a check-in: alcohol, caffeine after 2 pm, a stressful day.
- Your daily note. An optional line of up to 280 characters. The app never analyses it and never uses it for patterns. It is shown only on the app's own screens, never in a notification, a widget, Siri or Spotlight.
- Health data you allow. If you give permission, the app reads four types of data from Apple Health: sleep, workouts, heart rate variability and steps. It reads up to 90 days of earlier history when you connect and newer days as you use the app. It keeps one summary figure per day for each type, not the individual readings. It never writes to Apple Health.
- Patterns. The correlations the app computes from the data above, calculated on your iPhone.
- Settings and bookkeeping. Small items such as your reminder switches and time, whether you finished setup, which patterns you have already seen, and when the app last asked you for an App Store rating.
- Downloaded articles. A copy of the published articles, so you can read them offline. These are public content, not your data.
If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or a computer, that backup includes the app's data, as it does for your other apps; iOS makes it and you control it in your iPhone's Settings. The app itself never uploads your data.
Health data
Health data is used only on your iPhone: to find patterns, to draw your trends and weekly recap, to pick the one pattern the free plan shows, and to include in an export you ask for. It is never used for advertising or marketing, never shared with third parties, and never leaves your iPhone through the app. The app first explains on its own screen what it reads and why; iOS then lets you allow or deny each type separately. You can change that at any time in your iPhone's Settings > Privacy & Security > Health.
Widgets, the Control and the shortcut
The Home Screen widget, the Lock Screen widgets, the Control and the "Check In" shortcut open the app on today's check-in. To draw the widget, the app gives it a small table on your iPhone through an App Group, a storage area the app and its widget share. For today and the next six days, the table says only whether a check-in exists and how many of the last 7 days you checked in (or how many days in a row). It holds no ratings, tags, notes, Health figures or patterns, and it never leaves your iPhone. Wherever iOS shows the widget, such as the Lock Screen, it shows only that status and count. Delete All Data clears the table.
Notifications
The app has three optional reminders: a daily check-in reminder, a weekly recap notice, and a reminder two days before a free trial ends. The daily and weekly ones are off until you turn them on. The trial reminder is offered when a trial starts: if notifications are already allowed, the app schedules it and says so on screen; if not, a "Remind Me" button asks first. iOS asks for notification permission only when you turn on a reminder or tap that button.
They are local notifications: your iPhone schedules and shows them, and nothing is sent to us or to a push server. Their text is fixed. It never contains your ratings, notes, Health figures, counts or patterns; the trial reminder names the date the trial ends and how to cancel. You can switch the daily and weekly reminders off in the app's Settings, the trial reminder goes when you turn off renewal in Manage Subscription, and you can turn off all of them in your iPhone's Settings > Notifications.
Articles
The app downloads its educational articles from Apple's iCloud service (CloudKit). These requests carry no information about you or your data, and nothing is sent back to the article database. As with any request to Apple, Apple receives technical details such as your IP address and, if you're signed in to iCloud, your account. Apple's handling of that is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
Subscriptions
Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store, and Apple's terms apply to them. We don't receive your payment details. The app checks your subscription status on your iPhone through Apple's StoreKit and attaches none of your data to a purchase.
Exporting and deleting your data
- Export: Settings > Export My Data creates a CSV file with one row per day: your ratings, tags and notes, and the Health figures the app imported. The app hands it to the iPhone share sheet and sends it nowhere itself; it goes only where you choose to send it. Whoever you share it with, or whatever service you save it to, then holds a copy that the app doesn't control. The app keeps at most one export file in its temporary storage on your iPhone.
- Delete: Settings > Delete All Data permanently removes your check-ins, tags and notes, the app's copy of your Health data, your patterns, the widget's table, any export file and your scheduled reminders, and returns the app to setup. It doesn't change your data in the Apple Health app, your subscription, or an iPhone backup you made earlier. Deleting the app also removes its data from your iPhone.
Because we hold none of your data, there is nothing for us to look up, correct or delete on our side: export and deletion are in the app.
This website
This website is hosted on GitHub Pages. It sets no cookies and uses no analytics or trackers, and we receive no information from your visit. GitHub, as the host, may log technical details of each request, such as your IP address, for security and operations; we don't receive those logs, and they are covered by GitHub's privacy statement.
Not medical advice
The app shows patterns in your own data. It doesn't measure hormone levels or anything else in your body, and its content is not medical advice. For questions about your health, talk to a doctor.
Children
The app is made for adults and isn't directed to children under 13 (or the higher age of digital consent that applies where you live). The app collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and, for a change in what the app does with your data, say so in the app's update notes on the App Store.
